Negar is the President of the Building Science Association of Ontario (BSAO) and a building science professional with a strong background in architecture, engineering, and public-sector project delivery. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering, a Master of Architecture, and a Master’s degree in Building Science from Toronto Metropolitan University. Negar is a Building Science Specialist (BSS) and a Certified Passive House Designer (CPHD) through Passive House Canada. After working as a building science designer and project manager in engineering consulting, Negar transitioned to the public sector to better serve her community. She currently manages Major Capital Projects for the County of Northumberland, overseeing the planning, design, procurement, construction, and delivery of complex municipal infrastructure and affordable housing projects, with a strong focus on high-performance and sustainable buildings. Negar is passionate about advancing building performance, sustainability, and knowledge-sharing across the industry, and actively contributes to professional advocacy, collaboration, and leadership through her role at BSAO.
