Ron Pitman is a Professional Electrical Engineer and Vice President of Research & Development at Sieco-Tech Canada Inc., where his principal responsibilities are the development of advanced-feature electric energy meters and supporting systems. He is committed to next generation meter designs developed to solve common issues encountered in the metering industry. Over a 29-year career in metering, Ron has held leadership positions in Carma Industries, Energy Profiles Ltd and Enercare, as well as offering his knowledge to the metering industry as a consultant for several years before joining Sieco-Tech full-time in 2012. He has developed operational and quality control policies and procedures for each of these companies and has now come full circle back to research and development of electricity meters, albeit with two decades more experience. Off hours, Ron’s passions are in health and fitness and he enjoys playing a variety of sports for fun.
