Dr.-Ing. Ralph-Uwe Dietrich leads the research area Techno Economic Assessment (TEA) at the Institute of Engineering Thermodynamics of the German Aerospace Center (DLR e.V.) in Stuttgart since 2015. He is responsible for the research group on techno economic and ecologic evaluation of Power-to-X processes, with a focus on the production of alternative fuels for aviation and global transport. He received his PhD in Engineering at the Technical University Clausthal in 2013 as a scientific associate at the Clausthaler Umwelttechnik Institute (CUTEC-Institut GmbH). Before that, he got 15 years of chemical engineer and project manager experience at different enterprises (SME and Fortune 500) of the process and automation industry.
