After my PhD I started my career as a patent attorney in private practice but missed being in closer contact with science so transitioned to a role of Head of IP in a start-up biotech company in the Madrid area where I stayed for 6 years, until moving to UCB where I have held a number of roles related to providing IP support to our Bio-manufacturing activities until later becoming the Head of IP for that business unit.
