Susanne Paukner, PhD is the Founder and Managing Director of ARIVA Med GmbH, a biotech start-up dedicated to the research & development of novel, innovative antimicrobials. Susanne is microbiologist, has >22 years of experience in antimicrobial development spanning all phases of antibacterial development and is author of various scientific publications. Working for Nabriva Therapeutics and Sandoz/Novartis Susanne has lead the microbiological development of various antibiotic programs belonging to the classes of pleuromutilins, cephalosporins, ß-lactamase inhibitors and other classes including the pleuromutilin antibiotic lefamulin that is now approved in Europe, USA and in some Asian countries. As a former R&D lead at Nabriva Therapeutics Susanne spun out a couple of R&D assets into ARIVA Med, created the ARIVA Med pipeline and is currently seeking investments for the planned R&D activities.
