Tanja is a corporate–startup connector and innovation ecosystem expert with over 15 years of experience in the Life Sciences industry. At Bayer Pharmaceuticals, she built and activated the company’s innovation ecosystem across EMEA, led global industry knowledge-sharing initiatives for start-ups, and drove strategic partnerships within Business Development & Licensing / Open Innovation. She also led corporate innovation projects from ideation through global launch at Bayer Consumer Care and advised start-ups on partnering-readiness. Tanja currently heads the Future Health & Life Sciences Unit of the Gateway Factory — the brand-new joint entrepreneurship centre and business incubator of the Universities of Cologne, Düsseldorf, Aachen and industry partners — supporting high-potential start-ups in scaling their businesses through shared labs, in-house acceleration & scale-up programs, such as industry and ecosystem connections.
