Abigail RobinsonSenior Adviser at Biosecurity New Zealand – Ministry for Primary Industries
Abigail Robinsonfrom Auckland, New Zealand. I studied a Bachelor of Applied Science majoring in Biodiversity Management which had a large focus on ecosystem restoration and biosecurity. This led me to my first role out of university at the Ministry for Primary Industries’ Biosecurity New Zealand as a Quarantine Officer. After working on the biosecurity front-line for 3 years, I moved into my current role as a Senior Adviser in the Invasive Species Team at Biosecurity New Zealand. Our team manages ‘hitchhiker’ pest pathways, and the majority of my time is spent working with our international vessel biofouling standard.
