Natalie Kates joined ARPA-H in September 2024. With a strong background in new product development, she has led numerous product development teams in the health-tech sector, ranging from early-stage startups with successful exits to well-established organizations.

In the public sector, Kates has managed cross-functional teams through high-stakes initiatives with significant health and economic outcomes. Her extensive experience in improving government technology spans three Administrations, beginning with her establishment of the Health team at the U.S. Digital Service in 2016. Through her work, she pioneered the emerging discipline of applying product management techniques to government service delivery.

Kates holds a masters of science from the London School of Economics.
