Dr. Tamara Darsow is Senior Vice President of Global Business Development at Novo Nordisk and is responsible for driving the company’s BD efforts, from early search and evaluation activities, to transactions, integrations and alliance management.

Tamara joined Novo Nordisk in 2018 as Vice President of R&D Strategy and Portfolio Management and has since held several roles across the company’s R&D and Commercial organisations. Most recently, she was Corporate Vice President of Corporate Strategy and a key driver of Novo Nordisk's enterprise-level strategic decision making.

Previously, Tamara was Senior Vice President of Research and Community Programs for the American Diabetes Association, and also served as Director of External Research and Strategic Relations at Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

Tamara earned her PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of California, San Diego, and was a Damon Runyon postdoctoral fellow at the Salk Institute for Biological Sciences in Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience. She has published numerous scientific and original manuscripts, book chapters and review articles, many related to type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
