BUILDEX Alberta

The Calgary TELUS Convention Centre (CTCC) is supported with an on-site underground parking garage in the North Building with 7 accessible stalls. It is connected to the main floor of the North Building via an elevator equipped with braille and foot levers.

Public entry points are fully accessible. Vehicle drop-off point is located on 9th Avenue SE, east of the Marriott Hotel. Those arriving by Public Transit can exit on the Centre Street (Eastbound) or 1st (Westbound) stations and proceed barrier free to the main doors off Stephen Avenue.

In most cases, exterior and high traffic interior doors, have been replaced with automatic doors and external entry points equipped with touchless automatic door sensors. All entry points to meeting rooms are wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs and scooters. All client and public access floors are accessible via elevators and escalators.

All restroom facilities are equipped for wheelchair accessibility including motion-enabled soap, water, and dryer stations.

The Calgary TELUS Convention Centre (CTCC) has a limited number of wheelchairs that can be rented on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please contact a member of the CTCC Guest Services Team for further information on 403.261.8500.

Service animals are allowed into our event.

BUILDEX Alberta will offer a complimentary admission badge for support person of a person with a disability. Persons with disabilities should visit the Registration Desks to purchase their admission and receive the complimentary support person’s badge.

Persons requiring accommodation in the event of an emergency evacuation should notify the staff in the CTCC in advance. Visit the Guest Services team on the main floor of the North Building or by calling 403.261.8500 for assistance.

In the event of a planned or unexpected disruption to services or facilities for attendees with disabilities, BUILDEX Alberta will notify attendees promptly. A clearly posted notice will include information about the reasons for the disruption, its anticipated length of time and a description of alternative facilities, if available. The notice will be posted at the point of service or facility disruption.

There will be a Wellness Room on-site at BUILDEX Alberta on the 100 level in TELUS room 109. This is space for attendees, speakers, and exhibitors to use for wellness breaks, quiet time, prayer, nursing mothers or as required. The space will include a draped off area for privacy.
