Profile
Ola is an Architect by education and a BIM Manager by profession; she studied Architectural Engineering in Ain Shams University’s Faculty of Engineering in Cairo-Egypt, and currently has 12 years of experience in the AEC field.
After graduation, she worked as an Architectural Designer in multiple design firms before shifting into VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) when joining Dar Al Handasah in 2012 as part of its newly formed BIM unit, which helped shape her extensive BIM Experience.
Since then, she has been working on the Research & Development of BIM methodologies and workflows with recent focus on “BIM for sustainability”.
She currently possesses the occupation of a BIM Manager while being a teaching & research assistant at the American University in Cairo, where she’s currently pursuing her master’s degree in sustainable development.
