Nasir Al Shamsi is the Managing Director for Sustainable Transport Projects at BEEAHGroup. A dedicated professional, with over 16 years of experience in government andsemi-government sectors, Nasir is an expert in automobility telematics, ranging fromelectronic vehicle soware to automation and sustainable transport solutions.Within his current role, Nasir is responsible for managing ION, the region’s firstcommercial green transport company, formed as a joint venture between BEEAH andCrescent Enterprises.
He has actively collaborated with the company’s seniormanagement to implement multi-modal mobility solutions through ION, deploying aunique green fleet management enterprise within the UAE.Joining BEEAH Group in 2012, Nasir has served in various capacities across the fleetmanagement division, contributing extensively to BEEAH’s fleet utilisation programmes.As Head of Fleet Management, Nasir maximised fleet efficiency, and deployed the fleetmanagement system across 800 vehicles and equipment. He introduced innovative newsystems such as a Dispatch-on-Demand solution, an emissions monitoring system, andan auto generated fleet registration system, in addition to improving fleet managementpolicies. Among Nasir’s most recent successes were the autonomous mobility projects inMasdar City and Sharjah University City. He was also responsible for ION’s first GulfRegion’s Ultra-Fast Electric Vehicle Charging Stations installation project in Abu Dhabi,offering EV users convenience and efficiency not available in the region before.
Prior to his career at BEEAH Group, Nasir held positions in the Sharjah Municipality,Emirates Integrated Telecommunication Company (du) and Sharjah Traffic Police.Nasir holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Information Technology from SkylineUniversity College, Sharjah, UAE. He is also a graduate of the prestigious SharjahLeadership Programme. He has successfully completed the Digital Transformation:Leading People, Data & Technology program from UC Berkeley.
