Matthew considers himself a Talent Development Architect. By blending tried and tested people practices with novel development approaches, he aims to maximise potential in people and boost organisation capability. He enabled this by devising and deploying business-focused people solutions.
At DHL, as well as directing an industry leading culture enablement program for Middle East and Africa, Matthew heads the sustainability engagement programs for the region, developing people to lead on sustainability by taking action from initiatives such as SALAM.
Matthew has won a variety of internal and external awards at DHL including Stevie awards for sustainability.
After gaining a Master of Sciences Degree in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management at the University of Manchester in 2002, Matthew has gained extensive HR knowledge and expertise from a variety of industries as a career HR professional. His growth has been spurred by working at blue chips such as the BBC, BAE Systems, and British American Tobacco, as well as boutique consultancies. Being employed at DHL for the best part of ten years, he reports that the purpose driven nature of the organisation has inspired him to greater success in empowering and engaging people.
