Profile

As General Manager of Institutional Language Products at ETS, Ratnesh Jha leads the global strategy and execution for ETS’s suite of institutional language assessments, including the TOEIC®, TOEFL ITP®, and TOEFL® Young Student Series. These products play a critical role in supporting education and workforce outcomes around the world—TOEIC is used by more than 14,000 organisations across over 160 countries to assess English-language proficiency in professional settings, while TOEFL ITP supports placement and evaluation needs at more than 2,500 institutions in 50+ countries. The TOEFL Young Student Series helps educators monitor and support English learners ages 8 and above through early-stage assessments.

In this role, Ratnesh oversees all business functions—including product, operations, marketing, distribution and sales—and works closely with ETS subsidiary Edusoft Ltd. to drive growth across ETS’s language learning and assessment solutions for institutions.

Before joining ETS, Ratnesh held chief executive roles at leading education companies in the Asia Pacific region, including Burlington Group of Companies and Cambridge University Press. He brings over two decades of leadership experience spanning the education, publishing, and financial services sectors, including prior roles at GE Capital and Citibank. Ratnesh holds degrees from Jawaharlal Nehru University (India), the University of Cambridge (U.K.), and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management (U.S.).
