Mr. Shaikh is an award-winning entrepreneur, business builder, and sports marketer, with more than two decades of international leadership experience. Prior to founding Baseball United, Mr. Shaikh consistently drove business growth, community impact, and organizational culture at the corporate and startup level, as well as within his own companies.
He’s been awarded Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young, CEO of the Year by the Business Courier, and Marketer of the Year by Brandweek. He’s also the only person in history to be named General Motors Rising Star for Entrepreneurship as well as PR Week Rising Star for Communications. Mr. Shaikh was recognized by Singapore-based leadership institute, Break the Ceiling, as their Global Mentor of the Year for two consecutive years for his efforts in building high-performing teams. Mr. Shaikh is also an internationally recognized TEDx speaker, garnering over 150 Million views on his motivational videos.
Mr. Shaikh’s companies have been ranked in the top 1% of the prestigious Inc5000 and Entrepreneur360 lists of America’s top private companies. His firms also received the #1 ranking on theFast55 list of startups with the largest revenue growth over a three-year span.
Today, Mr. Shaikh is building Baseball United (BU), the first professional baseball league focused on the Middle East and South Asia, with its global headquarters in Dubai. Mr. Shaikh is the Majority Owner and also serves as the organization’s Chairman and CEO. Under Mr. Shaikh's leadership, Baseball United has achieved several historic milestones, including: securing investment from 20 Major League Baseball legends, including baseball Hall of Famers Barry Larkin, Mariano Rivera, Adrian Beltre, and Albert Pujols; building the region's first-ever professional baseball field in Dubai; hosting three signature events that have showcased Baseball United's players and franchises to more than 15 million broadcast viewers across 170countries; launching official baseball merchandise across the UAE for the first time in history; building exclusive partnerships with nine baseball federations across the Middle East and South Asia, including creating the UAE National Baseball Program; and driving more than three billion social and earned media impressions on Baseball United in less than three years.
Baseball United was recognized as one of the best new sports organizations in the world by the AVA Digital Awards, Muse Creative Awards, and the Hashtag Sports Awards, and endorsed by Dubai Sports Council and the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism.
The league's first full season comes to Dubai in November of 2025.
Mr. Shaikh began his career at Procter & Gamble, the largest consumer products company in the world with nearly $100 billion in yearly sales. During his 10-year career at P&G, he led several brand building initiatives across four continents for iconic brands such as Tide, Ariel, Old Spice, Gillette, and Olay, driving recordsetting growth in sales, engagement, and household penetration.
Later, Mr. Shaikh created and led the Marketing and Social organization at GoPro during its critical pre-IPO timeframe. In just 18 months, he helped transform GoPro from emerging startup to the fastest-growing camera company in the world, with sales over $2 billion.
He’s the Founder and CEO of two multi-million-dollar companies: Besomebody, Inc., a global media platform, and BSB Group International, a leading Brand Building and Sports Marketing Agency that provides business strategy, sports marketing, and creative services to Fortune 500 companies and fast-growing startups. BSB’s Sports Division also provides full-service marketing, management, and representation for college and professional athletes across more than one dozen major sports, including baseball, basketball, football, volleyball, and mixed martial arts.
Both Besomebody and BSB have received several “Best Places to Work” awards, including by the Business Courier and the Silicon Valley Review. In addition, BSB Group International was recently recognized by The Startup Weekly as one of the “Marketing & Advertising Companies to Watch” this decade.
Mr. Shaikh’s motivational videos on leadership and entrepreneurship have received more than 100 million views across multiple social platforms, and he’s delivered keynote addresses across five continents. He was featured on the hit reality TV series, SharkTank, with his episode ranking as one of the most watched in the show’s 14-year history.
He is a founder of Delta Epsilon Psi, the largest South Asian Fraternity in the world, and he’s the founder of Patients for Change, an advocacy group driving better care for hospital patients in the U.S.
Mr. Shaikh has travelled to all 50 U.S. states and 51 countries, and has worked internationally across five continents, including stints in Buenos Aires, Geneva, Singapore, Manila, and Dubai. He is a 4x Marathoner, and a former competitive baseball and basketball player.
Mr. Shaikh was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. Today, Mr. Shaikh splits time between his U.S. office in Cincinnati, Ohio, and his UAE office in Dubai.
