Exhibitor Badge Registration

All exhibitors are required to wear a badge in order to access the show floor during show hours. Exhibitors receive personalized, complimentary exhibitor badges as part of their booth space package.

Exhibitor badge limits are based on square footage:

  • 100-199 sq ft = 4 badges
  • 200-399 sq ft = 6 badges
  • 400+ sq ft = 8 badges

If more badges are required, exhibitors can purchase up to a maximum of 20 additional badges at $25 per badge through MicroSpec.

How to Register for Exhibitor Badges

  • A link to the exhibitor registration site plus login instructions will be emailed to your company’s Main Booth Contact by MicroSpec, our registration company starting in July. Watch for an email with the subject line: "The Buildings Show 2024 – Exhibitor Badge Registration."
  • After your company has registered your staff, your e-badges will be emailed to you starting mid-November. Please note: the badge will be sent to the email address linked to each individual registration.
  • E-badges not received prior to the show can be picked up onsite at the Exhibitor Registration Desk during Monday’s move-in as well as the opening morning of the show.
  • As badges are personalized, there will be no exchanging of badges at the Exhibitor Registration Desk.
  • You may still register onsite, but we encourage pre-registration online to avoid line-ups. If you have any questions regarding registration, please contact customerservice@microspec.com.

Steps for International Badges & Visa Letters to Travel to Canada

Steps for International Badges & Visa Letters to Travel to Canada

  1. Terms and Conditions:
    1. Exhibitor's participation invoice must be paid in full prior to receiving the Letter for the Visa application.
    2. Visa application processes have been seeing delays globally, we recommend giving yourself as much time as possible to apply.
    3. Informa Canada will not be responsible for the issuing of the entry Visa to Canada. The Canadian Visa authorities have the right to accept or reject the entry of any applicants.
    4. It is agreed that all expenses for travelling, accommodation as well as accident and illness insurance or any health-related costs will be covered entirely by the exhibiting company.
    5. Upon receipt, this form will be duly examined and processed by Informa Canada, who have the right to decline a request which seems inappropriate to the objectives of the event.
    6. Visas are the responsibility of each exhibiting company and refunds will not be processed for denied or incomplete applications.

There are Five Easy Steps:

  1. Exhibit at The Buildings Show and exhibitor badge request
International Exhibitors must contact their Sales Director to secure exhibit space. Once the exhibit space is confirmed the exhibiting company contact will receive a link to the exhibitor badge portal.
  2. Visa Letter Request
After the exhibiting company contact receives the link to the exhibitor badge portal from our official supplier MicroSpec, each person registered will need to check the box that says: This person requires a Visa Invitation letter. You will then be prompted to add the address of the Exhibiting company, this information will appear on your letter. The Visa Letter will be processed once all information is provided and the booth space has been paid in full.
  3. Check the Visa Requirements for your specific country
Please confirm the Visa requirement for entry into Canada. Review the Citizenship and Immigration Canada website for information on "Visiting Canada: Business Visitors"
  4. If you require a Visa, you must apply for an entry Visa through the Canadian Embassy in your country
Please contact your Sales Representative to confirm entry into Canada and participation in the show. If you are having any difficulties in receiving a travel Visa, please notify your Sales Representative as soon as possible.
  5. Once you have completed your registration and have started your Visa application, you may arrange your accommodations.
Show hotel rate information is available online starting July 2023

We Recommend:

  • Starting your registration and Visa process early.
  • Consulting with the Canadian Embassy in your country and the website for current Visa application requirements.
  • When applying for your Visa, include evidence of previous trips to Canada and include proof of intent of returning to your country.
  • Apply for your Visa with all required documents.

Important Notes:

  • To facilitate your visit, contact the Trade Officer, Building Sector, at the Canadian Consulate office in your country to discuss potential trade mission opportunities. Visit the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada website.
  • If your Visa application requires more than six weeks, please note we will require up to 10 business days to process the Visa Letter in a timely manner.
  • Do not travel to Canada, or make travel arrangements without proper entry documentation.

Lead Retrieval - Badge Scanner

As part of The Buildings Show 2024 booth package, every exhibitor is entitled to one (1) lead retrieval device (mobile app or mini scanner) included with your exhibit booth purchase. Additional scanners can be purchased if required.

Lead retrieval helps you easily capture, qualify and connect with potential buyers who attend the show. You can also use the scanner unit to capture fellow exhibitor badges.

BENEFITS

Easy To Use – The Lead Retrieval Scanners are as simple as point and click so you can spend your time talking to potential buyers and not trying to scan their badge.

Accurate Information – Since lead data is linked to the event registration data, you will have access to the most up to date information available; even if updated during the event.

Flexible & Reliable – All of the devices are handheld and battery-operated. This provides you with the freedom to scan a lead pretty much anywhere, not to mention no additional power is required to operate the unit.

Additional Exposure – When you rent a lead retrieval device from MicroSpec your company contact details will appear on the “Who scanned Me” report of the individuals that visited your booth. This unique solution is sent to each attendee post-event and can facilitate proactive follow-up with you by the potential buyer.

Fully Supported Onsite – MicroSpec lead retrieval personnel are on-site throughout the show with fast and friendly service. They care about your experience so their staff walk the exhibit hall during show hours and visit booths multiple times a day. They’re always ready to answer any questions you may have.

To order your lead retrieval unit(s), visit the Lead Retrieval Order Page.
