Exhibitor Badge Registration

All exhibitors are required to wear a badge in order to access the show floor for move-in, during the show, and move-out. Exhibitors receive personalized, complimentary exhibitor badges as part of their booth space package.

Please note due to various health & safety regulations as well as capacity limits, exhibitor badge limits are based on square footage:

  • 100-199 sq ft = 4 badges
  • 200-399 sq ft = 6 bages
  • 400+ sq ft = 8 badges

How to Register for Exhibitor Badges

  • A link to the exhibitor registration site plus login instructions will be emailed to your company’s Exhibit Booth Coordinator by MicroSpec, our registration company starting late September. Watch for an email with the subject line: "The Buildings Show 2021 – Exhibitor Badge Registration."
  • After your company has registered your staff, your e-badges will be emailed to you starting mid-November. Please note: the badge will be sent to the email address linked to each individual registration.
  • E-badges not received prior to the show can be picked up onsite at the Exhibitor Registration Desk during Monday’s move-in as well as the opening morning of the show.
  • As badges are personalized, there will be no exchanging of badges at the Exhibitor Registration Desk.
  • You may still register onsite, but we encourage pre-registration online to avoid line-ups. If you have any questions regarding registration, please contact customerservice@microspec.com.

There are Five Easy Steps:

  1. Exhibit at The Buildings Show and exhibitor badge request
International Exhibitors must contact their Sales Director to secure exhibit space. Once the exhibit space is confirmed and paid in full, the exhibiting company contact will receive a link to the exhibitor badge request.
  2. Letter of Invitation Request
After the exhibiting company contact receives the link to the exhibitor badge request from our official supplier MicroSpec, the Letter of Invitation can be requested by checking the appropriate box at the time of submitting the names for the badges for each person of the exhibiting company. The Letter of Invitation will be processed once all information is provided.
  3. Check the Visa Requirements for your specific country
Please confirm the Visa requirement for entry into Canada. Review the Citizenship and Immigration Canada website for information on "Visiting Canada: Business Visitors"
  4. If you require a Visa, you must apply for an entry Visa through the Canadian Embassy in your country
Please contact your Sales Director to confirm entry into Canada and participation in the show. If you are having any difficulties in receiving a travel Visa, please notify your Sales Director as soon as possible.
  5. Once you have completed your registration and have started your Visa application, you may arrange your accommodations.
Show hotel rate information is available online starting June 2020.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Exhibitor's participation invoice must be paid in full prior to requesting the Letter of Invitation for the Visa application.
  2. Letter of Invitation request must be submitted 60 days prior to the show date.
  3. Informa Canada will not be responsible for the issuing of the entry Visa to Canada. The Canadian Visa authorities have the right to accept or reject the entry of any applicants.
  4. It is agreed that all expenses for travelling, accommodation as well as accident and illness insurance or any health-related costs will be covered entirely by the exhibiting company.
  5. Upon receipt, this form will be duly examined and processed by Informa Canada, who have the right to decline a request which seems inappropriate to the objectives of the event.

We Recommend:

  • Starting your registration and Visa process early.
  • Consulting with the Canadian Embassy in your country and the website for current Visa application requirements.
  • When applying for your Visa, include evidence of previous trips to Canada and include proof of intent of returning to your country.
  • Apply for your Visa with all required documents.

Important Notes:

  • If your Visa application process takes longer than 15 business days, notify your Sales Director via email.
  • To facilitate your visit, contact the Trade Officer, Building Sector, at the Canadian Consulate office in your country to discuss potential trade mission opportunities. Visit the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada website
  • If your Visa application requires more than six weeks, please note we will require up to 10 business days to process the Letter of Invitation in a timely manner.
  • Do not travel to Canada, or make travel arrangements without proper entry documentation.
