Sarah Zaman is PMI's Vice President Regional People & Culture (HR) for South Asia, Indochina, Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) & Middle East & Africa (MEA). In this role, which she assumed in January 2026, Sarah leads the people strategy across one of PMI's most diverse regions, spanning ninety-three markets: supporting the company's continued business transformation through talent, leadership, and organisational development.
Prior to her current appointment, Sarah held critical global leadership roles within PMI's People & Culture function, initially as VP Organisation Effectiveness and most recently as VP P&C Corporate Functions. Since joining PMI in 2017, she has played a pivotal role in strengthening PMI's People & Culture agenda. Sarah is known for her courage, critical thinking, drive, and talent for building high-performing engaged teams and future-ready organisations.
Before joining PMI, Sarah led Organisation Development and Transformation at easyJet, after more than a decade as a management consultant, working cross-industry with Accenture's Talent and Organisation strategy practice in London.
Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Edinburgh.
Beyond her professional career, Sarah enjoys travelling and exploring new places with her husband and two children. Sarah has also volunteered on international community projects, supporting tsunami disaster relief efforts in Thailand, and education and healthcare initiatives in Ghana, reflecting her longstanding commitment to community impact and social responsibility.
