Alberta Construction Association
The Alberta Construction Association (ACA) represents the collective voice for Alberta’s construction industry. One of ACA’s mandates is to promote a highly skilled workforce.
ACA’s Trade Pathways program addresses skilled labour shortages by supporting young and under-represented Albertans pursuing careers in construction. Funded by the Government of Alberta, the program provides crucial post-employment support to employers and their workers, including wage support, essential tools and workwear, transportation assistance, access to training, and pathways into apprenticeships.
ACA’s Modern Construction Workforce initiative is dedicated to supporting the construction industry’s digital transformation and increasing productivity. With support from the Government of Alberta, ACA’s Digital Tradesperson Project provides free training to assist skilled tradespeople and apprentices in increasing their knowledge of Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) technologies. As part of the program, a funded work experience program is available to assist employers in transitioning skilled employees into VDC roles.
ACA is excited to be a part of the CCA Workforce Solutions Lounge @ BUILDEX to share information about our initiatives and successes while engaging with employers to learn more about their specific workforce needs and goals.
