About the Course
This is a three-module introductory course on working collaboratively in the biotech industry across international borders. While science knows no borders, this collaboration also brings challenges linked to the diversity of scientific and legal environments. This course will provide an overview of cross-border collaborations in key areas of biotechnology R&D and what companies should know to navigate them successfully.
The course will cover the need for cross-border collaboration in the biotech sphere, the benefits and pitfalls of cross-border collaboration, the types of cross-border collaborations that biotechnology companies generally engage in, and what companies should know when engaging in cross-border collaboration.
The course will focus on early-stage research cross-border collaborations between companies and universities, between universities and universities, and between companies and companies. The course will also focus on downstream cross-border collaboration in developing a biotech product including clinical trials and manufacturing.
The course is intended for biotech/pharma business development and licensing executives, academic researchers, legal teams, technology transfer teams.
