Zephyr History
Zephyr’s financial technology roots date back to 1994 with the launch of StyleADVISOR, a desktop application that performed sophisticated and functional style analysis. It was the first commercially available software that incorporated Nobel Laureate Bill Sharpe’s unique style analysis. StyleADVISOR provided essential performance and risk analysis, peer group analysis, style attribution, manager search, asset allocation and custom reporting.
Zephyr’s AllocationADVISOR was later introduced as a complement to the financial advisor’s workflow. As a robust asset allocation, optimization and portfolio simulation technology, it ensured a complete analysis for investment allocations.
Financial Technology Experts
Later, Zephyr OnDEMAND was added. Touted as an innovative, web-based reporting tool, it allowed asset managers or advisory firms to fully empower their sales and marketing representatives by easily generating compliance-approved Zephyr reports from any location.
In October of 2012, Informa acquired Zephyr, integrating it into its Informa Investment Solutions portfolio, which included Investment Scorecard, a 2007 acquisition of the popular performance reporting tool.
Today's Zephyr
In 2015, Informa officially launched Zephyr as a web-based cloud financial technology solution fully integrating once stand-alone financial and wealth management products into one complete solution. As the industry has changed, Zephyr has continued to respond with innovative software advancements including Portfolio DNA, ESG ratings and reviews and Portfolio Performance.
Today’s Zephyr is connected with all trust accounting and custodial systems and completely integrates with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud and other CRMs.
