Dr Alia Al Serkal

Head of People Learning & Growth at du

Dr. Alia Al Serkal joined Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company – du in 2007. She is responsible for developing talents across the organisation, identifying and developing successors for critical roles to bolster future success, leadership development, and Emiratisation. She also plays a role in the organisation’s culture transformation.

Prior to du, Alia was a Senior Psychologist at Emirates Airline, where she was responsible for assessing airline staff during the recruitment and promotion processes, as well as counselling.

When Alia joined du in 2007, she served as Director of Talent Acquisition. Some of Alia’s career achievements include creation of Talent Pools.

Alia holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Leeds in the UK. She is a Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), and a committee founding member of the International Psychology Conference Dubai (IPCD). Alia is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC), and a member of the ICF.
