HR Summit and Expo Masterclass - 13 October 2026 - GT (Gulf Time, GMT+04:00)
Description
Today’s leaders operate amid unprecedented levels of uncertainty. Artificial intelligence is transforming industries and roles, geopolitical tensions are reshaping markets, and organisations are under constant pressure to innovate, adapt, and grow. These conditions inevitably create uncertainty, not only among employees, but also within executive teams and leaders themselves.
Pressure is typically treated as a liability to eliminate, conceal, or manage. This approach overlooks one of leadership’s most powerful and underutilised resources.
In this dynamic, stage-led executive masterclass, Harvard psychologist and internationally recognised expert in executive psychology Dr. David H. Rosmarin will demonstrate how pressure and uncertainty, when understood and used effectively, can become a strategic advantage. Rather than undermining leadership, these forces can reveal emerging risks, strengthen relationships, accelerate adaptation, and inspire courageous action.
Drawing on psychological science, executive case examples, compelling leadership stories, and humour, Dr. Rosmarin will explore how tension and complexity shape leaders, teams, and organisational culture. Participants will learn how to work more effectively with challenging emotions, support others under pressure, and lead with greater clarity, courage, and adaptability.
This masterclass will introduce four leadership fundamentals for turning pressure into connection, performance, and sustainable growth:
- Identify | Read the Signal – Challenging emotions often indicates that something important is at stake. Effective leaders learn to recognise what it is revealing instead of suppressing it or allowing it to distort decision-making.
- Share | Create Connection – Pressure grows in silence and isolation. Leaders and teams who communicate honestly and share uncertainty appropriately invite meaningful dialogue, and strengthen trust, collaboration, and organisational cohesion.
- Embrace | Move Towards the Challenge – The most damaging consequences of discomfort usually result from avoidance. High-performing leaders and organisations proactively build the capacity to approach difficult conversations, strategic decisions, and uncertain opportunities, rather than waiting to feel comfortable or confident.
- Let Go | Release the Outcome – Leadership requires ambition and accountability, but not everything can be controlled. Distinguishing between influence and control allows leaders to act decisively, remain agile, and sustain performance without becoming consumed by uncertainty.
Learning Outcomes
