Today’s interior design plans for LEED ID + C projects require a vast understanding of EPDs, sourcing low-carbon materials, and keeping up with evolving building codes.
Greenbuild is where you can hear from expert Interior Designers on their strategies to conquer these challenges and optimize your interior design plans, all while earning CEs for ASID, IIDA, or CCIDC.
Interior design professionals with any of the above accreditations or memberships require continuing education credits (CEs) to maintain their level of certification or organizational membership.
How Interior Designers Can Use IDCEC Credits
ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) Membership
Practitioner and Educator Members must earn at least 10 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) every two years, which includes IDCEC CE hours.
CCIDC (Council For Interior Design Certification)
CCIDC is the Non-Profit Board that administers the Certified Interior Designer Title Act. Certified Interior Designers (CID) must complete 10 hours of CEUs every two years. Five of those hours must be related to CA Building Code.
IIDA (International Interior Design Association)
Professional and Associate Members must earn 10 hours of CEUs every two years. Policy and procedure dictate that IIDA Members must complete a specific amount of CEU’s within a given compliance period. More details are available here.
