As Principal of VCA Green, Robyn is responsible for overseeing and managing a highly skilled team offering sustainability services across the U.S. With over 25 years’ experience in managing projects with complex client goals, she specializes in bringing teams together collaboratively and streamlining sustainability goals and documentation to prove out performance. Robyn is an expert on navigating through the technical components of LEED certification and has a legacy of supporting overall USGBC program development. She was active in developing the LEED for Homes Pilot programs, achieving the first LEED for Homes affordable Platinum Certification in 2008 the first LEED for Homes Midrise Platinum certification in Hawai’ in 2018, and the first LEED for Homes v4 Platinum Certification in Chicago, a historic renovation, in 2021.
She has served on the Market Leadership Board for USGBC in California and Hawaii, as chair of both, and is a regular speaker for their regional conferences as well as Greenbuild International Conference. With her leadership the firm has experience that spans from LEED certifying a 900 s.f. concierge space, to a 1.2 M s.f. distribution center. She was part of the team to achieve triple certification for Orange Coast College, the first facility in the world, which included LEED Gold, SITES v2 and TRUE Zero Waste in 2019. Robyn received her bachelor of Science in Architecture from Iowa State University, is a Girl Scouts of Orange County Troop Leader and Legacy Member, and regularly volunteers on the FARM at The Ecology Center in San Juan Capistrano with her two daughters.
