Online merchants typically pay a fee of 2% + 20c per credit card transaction and so cannot sell by credit card items that cost 20c or less, and items with profit margins under 20c. AmpaCash is a fintech processor whose mobile payment solution solves this problem by enabling merchants to perform online micropayments (1c to $2) profitably; content providers – streaming providers, news and game publishers, music vendors -- can all profitably sell micro-priced content online. Apple iTunes with its 99c music downloads has validated micropayments; it made over $10 billion in 2018 (the last year iTunes revenue was broken out separately). In 2020, the top 5 free-to-play games EACH earned revenues ranging from $1.92 billion to $2.45 billion, almost entirely from micropayment transactions. However, these companies have to aggregate transactions; so instead of charging a credit card immediately for a 99c transaction (which is breakeven at best) they wait to see if the user will make additional purchases so the transactions can be bundled into a larger amount to make processing profitable for both the merchant and the card processor. In addition to solving micropayments, AmpaCash also provides Remote Payment; an innovation which enables a user to purchase directly from any screen, e.g., a TV, a monitor, or even a static billboard with the AmpaCash mobile app. There is no provider of online micropayments or Remote Payments in North America.
