Continuing Education

The Greenbuild International Conference and Expo is CE-rich, with approved GBCI, AIA, IDCEC, and Phius credits.

Greenbuild 2024 certificates will be sent out a few weeks following the conference. If you have any questions, please contact program@greenbuildexpo.com. Also, please email us if you need to access your certificates from previous Greenbuild events.

Greenbuild offers continuing education (CE) hours for education sessions.

  • Live Sessions – earn (1) GBCI CE Hour and/or (1) AIA Continuing Education Credit and/or (1) IDCEC CE Credit and/or (1) Phius Continuing Education Credit per hour of education. Sessions that are 30 minutes in length are accredited for 0.5 CE Credits. Attendees must attend at least 80% of the session to receive credit. Credit will be reported on your behalf a few weeks after the live event if you supplied your GBCI, AIA, IDCEC, or Phius number in your registration.
  • On-Demand Education Sessions – earn (1) GBCI CE Hour and/or (1) AIA Continuing Education Credit and/or (1) IDCEC CE credit and/or (1) Phius Continuing Education Credit per hour of education. Sessions that are 30 minutes in length are accredited for 0.5 CE Credits. Attendees must watch the entire video recording from start to finish and receive an 80% on the quiz linked on the session page. Please allow a few weeks from the quiz completion date to receive your credit.
  • Expo Hall Education Labs & Sponsored Sessions – earn (1) GBCI CE Hour and/or (1) AIA Continuing Education Credit and/or (1) IDCEC CE credit and/or (1) Phius Continuing Education Credit per hour of education.

Your Path to Continuing Education

Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI)

Greenbuild is an Approved Provider for Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI). Greenbuild courses qualify for the following GBCI credits: General CE, WELL, SITES, and LEED rating system-specific (BD+C, ID+C, O+M, ND, HOMES). Visit www.gbci.org to learn more.

American Institute Of Architects (AIA)

Greenbuild is an approved AIA CES Provider. Most Greenbuild education sessions are AIA CES registered for General Learning Units (LU) or Health, Safety and Welfare (HSW). Greenbuild attendance in AIA CES registered courses will be reported for you automatically after the show. To ensure your attendance is reported, simply provide your AIA number when registering for Greenbuild. International Design Continuing Education Council Inc (IDCEC)

Greenbuild is pleased to once again offer design continuing education credits through the International Design Continuing Education Council Inc (IDCEC) which supports credential maintenance for American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), International Interior Design Association (IIDA), Interior Designers of Canada (IDC). Phius

It's essential for Phius Certified professionals to keep pace with changes to tools, standards, materials and other best practices in progressive and passive building. The Phius programming at Greenbuild will focus on introductory content, providing an entryway into the passive building community for Greenbuild attendees who are otherwise unfamiliar with Phius and passive building. Session Recording And Reporting

Recording attendance. Some education sessions and select keynote recordings will be available to attendees following the live events. To view, simply log in with your same personalized event link and navigate to the session you wish to view in the agenda. GBCI and AIA credits are available for most sessions on-demand for up to 60 days after Greenbuild. To receive continuing education credits for watching the sessions on-demand, you must earn an 80% score on the quiz linked in the session. Please allow a few weeks for your credits to be reported.

Reporting attendance. Sessions that qualify for GBCI, AIA, and Phius credits will be reported to the appropriate accrediting body automatically for attendees who include their membership numbers in their registration accounts. Attendees that are looking to obtain IDCEC credits will need to self-report those. There is also an option for attendees to self-report their GBCI and AIA credits. Greenbuild partners with a wide range of professionals to ensure every aspect of the event experience – sessions, special events, keynotes, expo hall features – are designed by and for the industry.

Greenbuild Advisory Board

Advisory Board members are responsible for reviewing and developing materials related to the overall Greenbuild event including industry trends and feedback, up and coming topics for the Conference program, expo hall program creation, legacy project approval and more.

Program Working Group

The Program Working Group oversees delivery of educational programming intended to meet the needs of attendees to the annual Greenbuild International Conference & Expo. Members review sessions in all rounds of review for Greenbuild, nominate and collaborate with Subject Matter Experts, and liaise with session presenters.

Summit Working Group

The Greenbuild Summit Working Group will meet as a combined group with Subcommittees designated to fill the programmatic elements of the Greenbuild Summits. The goal is to facilitate dialogue among a diverse group of individuals and partner organizations that are focused on a broad scope of sustainability related issues.
