What is Greenbuild?
Greenbuild produces the Greenbuild International Conference + Expo, which is the premier event for the green building and green spaces industry. To ensure you stay connected and receive CE’s year-round, Greenbuild also produces virtual events and white papers as well as the Streamly Knowledge Library, which is an annual subscription community providing you access to on-demand sessions, interviews with experts, CE opportunities, and other cutting-edge content.
The 2026 Greenbuild Conference + Expo will take place October 20-23, 2026, at the Javits Center in New York, NY.

Does Greenbuild education qualify for continuing education (CE) credits?
Yes. Greenbuild education qualifies for GBCI, AIA, Phius, and IDCEC continuing education credits.
What pass type is right for me?
With two primary pass types, including a student option and various add-ons, Greenbuild has opportunities for professionals of all levels and budgets.

Will there be a virtual-only pass this year?
Greenbuild will shift back to a fully in-person event and no longer offer a virtual pass option. Attendees with the Conference Pass, will have access to the session recordings, and they will be offered as a separate add-on option with the Streamly Knowledge Library.

Preparing for Greenbuild
How do I build a custom schedule via the show app?
NOTE: Greenbuild mobile app will launch summer 2026
Step 1: Download the mobile app: search “Greenbuild” in the App Store or Google Play Store to download. Log in with the email used at registration.

Step 2: Navigate to the Agenda from the Home Screen. Then, you can browse all of Greenbuild's sessions available by your pass type. In the top right of each session, tap the bookmark button to add the session to your schedule. It will then appear in "My Schedule" on the Home Screen. You can also make changes to the your Tuesday Summits and Workshops by adding them to "My Schedule."
Important Notes:
*If you do not have the Conference Pass, you will only see the sessions offered in the Expo Hall that do not carry CE.
*You can also make changes to our Workshops and Summits through our registration system. To register for Workshops / Summits or to make changes to your selections, sign into your account with the email/password created at registration.
Do I need to register for sessions this year?
No, not this year. Greenbuild 2026 will NOT require you to register for any sessions. Attendees with the Conference pass will have access to all sessions on a first-come first-serve seating basis.
Most sessions will be recorded to view after the event, so no worries if a session fills up. We'll try to make sure you can watch!
How should I prepare for attending Greenbuild?
We have a guide for first-time attendees (and a refresher for past attendees), with everything you need to know from what to wear, what to bring, and everything in between!
Does Greenbuild offer a discount on hotel rooms?
Yes! If you book with our travel partner, you can score discounts on your hotel lodging. Booking link will be available spring 2026.
I'm traveling from outside the U.S., can I get a letter for my visa?
Yes, international attendees can request a visa letter. To request a visa letter, you must register for the event and select "Request Visa Letter", and a PDF of the visa letter will be included with your confirmation via email. If your visa application does not go through or is denied, contact info@greenbuildexpo.com for assistance.

Are children allowed at Greenbuild?
No. Children under the age of 18 are not permitted to attend Greenbuild programs.
What is the cancelation policy?
Paid Greenbuild tickets are non-refundable. No refunds or exchanges will be made for pass downgrades, carbon offsets or donations. However, you may transfer your registration to another member of your organization with a letter identifying the person taking your place or choose to roll your registration over to the following year. Rollovers are only valid for the 2025 event, they cannot be applied towards another year. Substitution Requests & Roll Overs are subject to a $49 processing fee and must be received at least 30 days in advance of the event. Submit your Substitution Request to registration@greenbuildexpo.com.

Where in the Javits Center will Greenbuild be?
Greenbuild will take place in the North building at the Javits Center, at the entrance between 11th Ave and 37th Street.

Will there be a coat/bag check?
Yes, we will also offer a coat/bag check near the registration desk for your convenience.
Do I need to self-report my CEs?
The Greenbuild team will report your credits on your behalf. Before each session, you'll scan you badge at the entry so that we can keep track of which sessions you attend.
Allow for 2 weeks after the event for the credits to appear in your USGBC account.
I'm looking to visit a specific company, where I can I find them?
You can browse our exhibitor list and view our floor plan for navigating the expo hall.
After the Show
How do I download my certificate of attendance for my continuing education (CE) credits?
Instructions for downloading your Greenbuild 2025 certificate was sent to the email used at registration. If you did not receive an email, please contact our program team at program@greenbuildexpo.com.

Can I receive the presentation slides from a session I attended?
We have a task for speakers to opt-in or opt-out of making their presentation slides available to attendees. Not every session will have slides available to download as not every presenter gave us permission to share them. The speakers that did will have slides available within a couple of weeks after the show.
In the course description on the agenda, there is a section titled: Documents & Links below the session description that will have them to download.
Do I have access to session recordings?
For attendees with the Conference Pass, you'll have access to the video library of Greenbuild track sessions for 3 months after the event. For access to recorded sessions for the full year, or if you don't have the Conference Pass, you can purchase the Streamly Knowledge Library add-on.
*Greenbuild anticipates recording all track sessions; however, in case of unforeseen circumstances (technological or otherwise) recording of a particular session cannot be guaranteed.
