Food Bags
Lancaster Farm Fresh
An organic farmers’ co-op of over 100 small farms providing exceptional produce and goods from Lancaster County to communities near & far, dedicated to empowering generations of farmers—all while building healthy soils, preserving farmland, and nourishing people.
The Co-Op focuses on environmental stewardship, farmers livelihoods, nourishing communities and fair, local economies. Lancaster Farm Fresh will be providing the produced used to build the food bags.
City Harvest
New York City’s first and largest food rescue organization—nourishing people, strengthening communities, and protecting the planet. City Harvest rescues nutritious, high-quality food that would otherwise go to waste and deliver it for free to hundreds of food pantries, soup kitchens, community partners, and Mobile Markets® across the five boroughs.
In response to the urgent and high demand for food assistance and City Harvest’s commitment to sustainability, this year over 100 million pounds of food will be rescued and delivered to New Yorkers experiencing food insecurity. With deep connections to the community and with a focus on localized investment, City Harvest strengthens agency partners and the local food system through capacity building, advocacy, and nutrition education.
Through this food rescue model, City Harvest supports environmental health by preventing millions of kilograms of CO2 from entering the atmosphere while providing New Yorkers with the food they need to thrive. Named one of America's Top 100 Charities by Forbes and recognized as a leading equity-driven organization, City Harvest has provided more than one billion pounds of food to our neighbors in need since our founding in 1982.
